Lesley Greenaway - CV
My background and experience is rooted in the voluntary and community sectors. An experienced researcher, facilitator, trainer and manager, my focus is on developing customised evaluation projects, and building organisational and human capacity in evaluation and research.
I specialise in:- qualitative and participatory approaches
- innovative ways for gathering stakeholder feedback, such as using a community researcher model
- online survey design and implementation
- training in evaluation design, skills, methods and techniques
- generating evidence for learning and results
- reporting on achievements and results for publication
- knowledge of different evaluation models e.g.Social Accounting and Audit; Learning Evaluation And Planning (LEAP); Participatory Appraisal.

Previous Experience
- Trained initially as a teacher of PE, I spent time teaching in schools, further education, and more latterly on work-based degree programmes.
- My training experience was developed in the field of personal development training on outdoor education and leadership training courses.
- I have had a continuing theme of youth experience throughout my career from teaching, to youth at risk, to youth clubs.
- I worked at Volunteer Development Scotland (VDS) as Depute CEO 2002-2005 and as Head of Training1992-2002.
International Experience
- Representative member of the European Centre for Volunteering (CEV) 2002-2005, and responsible for hosting a European Assembly in Scotland.
- As a member of the EEEurope network of experiential educators, I was very proud to work with my husband Roger Greenaway as part of the host team for the EEEurope Conference in Scotland in 2007.
